Daily Mail: Kylie and Olivier rekindle romance in Paris Rating

For months, Kylie Minogue has denied rumours of a reconciliation with her former lover Olivier Martinez, insisting they're simply friends who share a 'special bond'.

But if their affectionate hugs and loving looks over lunch in Paris yesterday are any indication, their romance is back in full swing.

The pop princess looked happier than ever as she dined with the French actor, her parents Ron and Carol and stylist William Baker while on a break from her KylieX2008 tour.

They split in February last year following rumours that he had been unfaithful.

They dated for four years and Kylie had treatment for breast cancer in Paris rather than in Australia to be with him.

Kylie described Olivier as 'her rock' and later said they would always remain friends following the tough times they shared.

However the pair have been spotted keeping company in recent times - Olivier was even present in the audience at her opening show in Paris last month.

A reconciliation has apparently been in the works for some time, with a source telling the Daily Mail in February: 'A mutual Parisian friend passed a message on to Kylie that Ollie was pining for her and deeply regretted the break-up.

'Two weeks later, Ollie called her late one night when he was a bit drunk. That was their first conversation in almost a year.

'Since that time, they have been regularly calling, having intense conversations and texting incessantly.

'Ollie has told her he is ready to start a family, to marry her and to settle down.'

So do you think they are back together or not?

European critics wowed by 'KYLIEX2008'!

Kylie.com was updated with some of the many glowing reviews of 'X2008' in Europe.

Kylie's triumphant 'X2008' tour continues to attract rave reviews in every city it stops, with her concert in Sofia last month described as "one of the great performances of the early 21st century" by the Bulgarian press!

Read what other critics have been saying about 'KylieX2008'...

"Artists, identified by only their first name, have really made it. She brought as expected, an extravagant show with kitsch, glamour, extraordinary choreography and beautiful outfits."
DE MORGEN - Thursday 8th May - Belgium

"Half way through Kylie Minogue's show you realise that the performances of her more famous rival Madonna are second league in comparison to Kylie. This 40 year old Australian's production is one of the best touring shows on the planet. Although the show is clearly a feast for eyes, the truth is that musically it was a feast too. After all, Kylie is known as a singer first."
AKTUALNE.CZ - Tuesday 13th May - Czech Republic

"Kylie Minogue is the most popular pop diva of all. It would be nigh impossible to challenge the Kylie Minogue show. The high-tech stage, the costumes, dancers and giant scenes - it's the perfect mix of visuals with a professional show. But Kylie showed us a human side, she was happy to speak to us in Hungarian, forming her sentences perfectly making the audience could feel her close to her."
NEPSZABADSAG - Saturday 17th May 2008 - Hungary

"The world famous star Kylie Minogue... bewitched the audience at her concert... she amazed everyone with her beauty and energy. Contrary to many prima donnas, Kylie was smiling all the time and was cheery and generous with the press. Kylie Minogue expressed her admiration for Istanbul and we in turn admired her for her wonderful show at Kurucesme Arena."
Sabah KUMSAL weekly magazine - Thursday 22nd May 2008 - Turkey

"Kylie Minogue appeared in Sofia like the absolute goddess of professional show business. The Australian diva gave a phenomenal performance which goes down in history as one of the great performances of the early 21st century."
STANDART DAILY (National Daily Newspaper) - Tuesday 20th May - Bulgaria

"The entire show worked. The pace was timed brilliantly. Here was Kylie making bold moves with the designs, the rare songs included and (some) hits omitted. It's a risky show and... it's Kylie’s finest. Every song absolutely wrapped around the audience. The arrangements of the entire show are mind-blowing and for this reason, the entire concert must be mastered and put to CD. Vocally flawless, the band and composers of the show have produced a live experience that was a complete and total aural feast."
dontstopthepop.blogspot.com - 2nd June - Munich, Germany

"The best party this summer! A Friday-night doesn't get any better than this! You can't help but compare the 40-year old Minogue, whose career spans three decades and Celine Dion who performed at the same venue last Monday. Dion's show was as pompous as the Titanic, but it was sunk by the iceberg-like coldness of the star-vocalist. Altho' Dion may be a better singer than Minogue, Kylie wins hands down with her huge party... All 11,600 happily dancing audience-members are proof of that. Kylie Minogue, shamelessly flirted, bustled with irresistible fun and came across as lot more real, sweeter and personal than Celine Dion or Rihanna who've performed in the same venue. With her dancers, her extravagant staging and her enthusiastic audience Kylie gave us a show we'll long remember."
ILTASANOMAT – Saturday 14th June 2008 - Finland

"The KylieX2008 World Tour show was reputed to be one of the most impressive, massive and expensive shows, and it was!"
ILTALEHTI – Saturday 14th June 2008 - Finland

'KylieX2008' plays Riga in Latvia tomorrow night before venturing on to Germany and Holland, and finally hitting UK shores next Thursday for as 4-night residency at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast.

Preview 'The One' (Freemasons Mix) at Popjustice!

Everyone and their gay dog has a theory about what Kylie's done right and what Kylie's done wrong with the whole 'X' campaign but if anything's likely to swing the whole thing back around again it's the release, at the end of July, of 'The One'.

Back in October we identified the track as the best from 'X' and in fairness we were right and anyone who claimed otherwise was wrong.

For its single release the track will be helped along by a ten minute Freemasons remix extravaganza which is one of the most beautiful and captivating pieces of electronic music you'll hear in 2008.

Click here to preview the track!

I know alot of people have really been upset with the X era but I'm not one of those people. I've loved the imagery, performances, videos, and X2008 Live looks absolutely amazing. Some fans probably hate it because they expected it to sell 7 million copies worldwide like Fever did and they also hated Body Language because it wasn't a massive followup to Fever. I don't just love Kylie for the amount of albums she sells, I love her for the music she makes and X was definitely a nice progression. Not a massive progression but thank god she didn't make a Fever part 2 like most fans are still begging for after 7 years. With that being said I have a feeling The One will close the X era out on a high and I'm glad to say it's definitely one of my favorite Kylie eras to date. ♥

Some info regarding the single release of 'The One'

Promos are about to be sent out in the next few weeks. Freemasons extended and radio edit will be on them. It's looking like this could be a digital only release since the Freemasons mixes basically drained the single budget so a physical release probably won't happen. Also there is no video planned at the moment.

I'm hoping the digital only release rumour is not true and we get a decent video. I do wish the track the best and usually anything remixed by the Freemasons turns to gold so let's hope this isn't an exception. With that being said I am really excited to hear the new mixes!

Check out the full club mix of 'The One' that the Freemasons have been playing at their gigs below!
